Dear collegues!
Recently, the "Guidelines for the diagnosis and monitoring of paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria and related disorders by flow cytometry" (Cytometry July 20101)were published. Further, we are now monitoring the size of the PNH-clone in patients on eculizumab and patients with aplastic anemia or MDS. It is important that we in the nordic countries cooperate and harmonize the assays. We have been given the possibility, with short notice, to arrange a conference on these issues where Stephen Richards, Leeds, will take part. Stephen is the most experienced lab physician in the world in the field of PNH and is one of the main authors of the guidelines. Furthermore, dr Peter Johansson will participate. Peter is chairman of the swedish national PNH-group and responsible for the PNH-registry. We do hope that it will be possible for you to participate. Welcome! *********************** Invitation to a Nordic Workshop: PNH-diagnosis with flow cytometry Göteborg, Sahlgrenska. 9 september 2010. Conference room Fröet, Gula Stråket 12, see attached map.
